We decided to have the party on the Asuncion weekend, since most of Europe has a long weekend there (most importantly of course, Denmark and Germany...). Since all of you who read this come from afar, think about having a long weekend or even a full week at Schliersee - it has georgeous nature, and Munich is pretty close.

For the stay overnight we recommend the site www.schliersee.de, also for the tourist recommendations. A good idea might be to stay in the Schlierseer Hof. A double room comes to just over 100€ per night, and it's the place of the reception. The pier for the boat is just 100 m away, which is a good idea for the night when you come home... And if we get a common breakfast organised, then it would be there too. We will stay overnight on the island, as the only guests... (romantic, isn't it?!) There is a list of further hotels in the vicinity on the Danish page (hint: enkelt means single).

Munich airport is quite nicely to get to by public transport. With just two trains you get from the airport to Schliersee in 1h 45min, and the connection goes (in both directions) once an hour (not on the hour though). In Schliersee itself everything is within walking distance. How to get there: Fly - rail - drive. There are the usual rental car companies at Munich airport - Sixt might be relatively cheap.

Frederiksberg is a town in Greater Copenhagen (interestingly enough completely enclosed by Copenhagen). Rådhus means town hall, and it's directly opposite from our appartment. Directly next to it is a SAS Radisson, which is pretty expensive (135€).

Gifts: We're working on it. From the hip: since our appartment is rented, and not very kid-friendly (no, there is nothing coming yet), and since we have quite a lot of the usual wedding gear already, feel free to give cash to help us with the down payment of a larger appartment or house. Any other ideas we have, rest assured it will be published here asap.
